What is LumaWrap?
A plain explanation of the wrap, the two wavelengths inside it, and the sort of ache it is built for.
LumaWrap is a padded fabric wrap with a panel of small lights sewn into the inside face. You strap it around a joint or a stretch of muscle, press one button on the hand controller, and it runs a 20-minute session before switching itself off.
There is no gel, no heat setting to fiddle with, and nothing to charge overnight. It plugs into a UK mains adaptor or a USB socket.
What makes it “dual-depth”
The panel runs two wavelengths at once. The 660nm lights are the visible red glow, and they work at the surface — skin and the tissue immediately beneath. The 850nm lights are near-infrared, invisible to the eye, and they travel 4 to 5cm further in, which is deep enough to reach the tissue around a knee or hip joint.
Plenty of budget wraps use only 660nm because visible red looks convincing through fabric. If the ache you are treating is deep in a joint rather than on the skin, the 850nm light is the part that matters. There is a longer explanation in 660nm vs 850nm.

Who it does not suit
It is not a painkiller and it will not do anything within an hour. It is also not for everyone: if you are pregnant, have an implant or pacemaker near the area, take medication that makes you sensitive to light, or have a skin cancer, check with your GP first. See is red light therapy safe?
